It would be easy to miss me. I was sitting in the worst possible seat if I wanted to get noticed. Between two extremely talented, beautiful, talented, amazing women. I did have a sweet hat on though so… Maybe you can pick me out!
This past Thursday I was honored to be a part of an amazing show. Not that all my shows aren’t amazing, this one was just a little bit more amazing than usual. I was asked to perform on a show called Songs at the Center. It is on PBS (way cool!) and is such a cool concept: Take three or four songwriters and have them take turns performing their songs in a round. Very much inspired by the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville,TN, songwriters get so perform songs that don’t always get heard. They also get to talk about the songs and the stories behind them. I was excited to do the show and was just blown away at how amazing of a night it truly was.
One thing I was excited about (and I didn’t let the cat lady out of the bag) is there was a reunion of sorts. My partner in crime, Marti Dodson (click on her name to hear sweet tunes!), was coming up from Nashville to do the show. Not only did I get to see her, I got to accompany her as well (she is still a little too shy with her guitar skills but soon she’ll be shredding!) Also playing the show was Dianna Corcoran (click on her name to learn all about her!). A powerhouse performer and Aussie who is currently in Nashvegas as well.
So there I was… right smack dab in the middle of two insanely talented, beautiful, blonde, tall women. All I had going for me was my hat! You will have to check it out when it airs to see if I crashed and burned or held my own! Air dates will be plastered all over the place the second I know it!!
I left recharged and excited. It was exactly the kind of night I needed.
Taping newest podcast this tonight, no public show this week and I’m off the grid for the weekend so you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer to come to a show. But don’t be late!!
You have always been my favorite,
